Radiology was awarded as the key clinical specialty of Hubei province in 2012, comprising of X-ray, CT, MRI diagnosis and interventional radiology.  The department has modern equipments, including 3.0T VERIO MRI, 128 slice lightspeed CT, safire VC17 flat DSA and PACS. 12 professors and 2 chief experts for radiology diagnosis work in this department. Experts serve as member of Chinese Society of Radiology(CSR) and vice-chairman of Hubei provincial Society of Radiology. It has exquisite imaging techniques and outstanding research capabilities in CT/MR diagnosis, image-guide tumor biopsy, evaluation of cancer therapy, mini-invasive cancer therapy, functional and molecular imaging. It has gained more than 10  medical image research funds and more than 100 academic papers published. Every year, over 30 interns and trainee doctors were trained.
