Base on the concept of “openning, communication, progress”, a special english academic salon were held in the hospital hall in 30 July 2009, which subject is multidisciplinary approach of breast cancer. The hospital president Chen Huanchao and vice-president Wei Shaozhong attended the salon.

    Director of department of medical affairs and education Liu Yulin husted the english salon. At first, vice-president Wei Shaozhong gave a warmly speech to strength the significance of the english academic salon, and to advance many proposals of youth talent. The academic lecture was presented by Gong Yiping, vice-director of department of breast cancer, collaborate with the pathologist and Radiation Therapist. They explained the diagnostic and therapeutic strategy of breast cancer from different discipline views. Subsequently, all the youth made communications and discussions about tthree subjects as breast cancer was a localized disease or a systemic disease, systemic treatment needed or not for breast cancer, and local therapy affected survival of breast cancer. The whole course were commucated in english. All the people not only investigated the iders of breast cancer, but slao exercised and exibited their ability of english language in the salon. The whole course is lively and fluent, with a novel form and substantial content, it made a active and aspiring atmosphere.

    Before the ending of salon, president Chen Huanchao delivered a speech, he praised highly to the special english academic salon, and brought eagerly expactations to the young doctors. He said, the english academic salon put forword higher requirement of young doctors, it reflected the our attention to the integral quality of youth growth. Young doctors were the follow-up force of hospital develompment, they might be effort to be a good person, to do better things, to acquire more knowledges. The youth should improve their professional skill to get with the develompment of hospital, and found their values within it.

    The success of this english youth academic salon resulted from the long-term emphasis to youth growth of hospital leaders. From the efforts of department of medical affairs and education and all the young doctors, this salon get a wonderful success. It was a inspection and inspiritment to the growth of young generation. From the salon, the enthusiasm of youth academic communication were revealed and the acquirement of all-sided quality were defined. Youth academic salon would afford the environment of openning, communication and progress to accelerate growth of all the youth.
